This book is the best reference book on depression glass I've ever seen. It gives you a color identification guide, a shape guide, and a pattern guide. Each pattern identified is shown in very clear detail and the color pictures are wonderful. Patterns are presented alphabetically for easy reference. In the back of the book is a list of patterns by manufacturer and an index by pattern. I've never learned so much so fast. I highly recommend this book - especially to new collectors.

This is one of the best books I have found for teaching children to pay attention to details. Recognizing the spelling patterns of words and categorizing is something my second graders are getting very good at doing.I use this as part of their spelling homework every week! It may not be the same words, but they are learning to recognize the patterns and this transfers into words they encounter in reading.I loaned my other copy to a collegue and it was never returned, so I hopped online and quickly ordered another. I can't plan my homework without it.

I loved this book! IT's SUPER!

I was apparently a WHAM-O addict in my youth... I identified so many products! SuperElasticBubblePlastic, Super Stuff, Water Wiggle, Slip'N'Slide, Frisbee, Super Balls, Hacky Sack... just to name a few.

Either I bought them because they were priced at "allowance" level, or I begged my parents until they relented. Much to their chagrin due to scraped elbows and knees, stained or melted carpet, furniture varnish ruined, or windows smashed. Oh well, childhood was not so "safe" then but I survived with a big grin!

Wonder layout, graphics, ads, photos, stories and anecdotes about the company's full history and the time line of the products: winners, losers and lethal categories.

For kids of ALL AGES... toys 'n'n stuff from the 60s, 70s, 80s and later!

We learned about this book from our daycare provider, and our daughter loves it. We started reading it with her when she was 10 or 11 months old. Each page has an animal who asks "Where is my friend?" and then a 1/2 page flap turns to reveal the missing animal's friend, for instance, "Here is my koala friend." At the end of the book, a boy is asked where his friend is by the animals, and the flap reveals his dog friend. This is still one our daughter's favorite books and she is almost 15 months old.

One additional (practical) benefit to this book is that because the flap runs the whole length of the page, it has withstood more wear and tear than the small flaps in some of our other books.

We have been reading this book, on and off for three years now and Felix and his parents still havent tired of it. It really is a wonderful book and it is a shame that most of his books are out of print. The pop-ups are brilliant - they are pretty sturdy, although Felix has ripped some of them I was able to tape them up.

Bought this book for my 3 yr old son and he really likes it. Lots of activities to do very good sounds.

This book is a great resource! It includes a wealth of ideas for using the word wall in games, center activities, and includes reproducibles. It does span from K-3, but as a first grade teacher I am able to use a good chunk of it and adapt more advanced parts. I recommend it for anyone who works with sight words and wants to spice it up!

Whether you are interested in toy vehicles or real buses, this book offers a feast for the eyes. An astounding array of model buses from some 20 nations - diecast, plastic, tin-plate, and cardboard - awaits you; the material is extremely captivating. But beware, if you do not already collect model buses, you may find yourself doing so after perusing this book. Also included are many antique and rare models one doesn't see all the time. Granted, not every model is included and the survey could be a little stronger regarding models from the former Soviet Union. Nevertheless, this book has a lot to offer and I heartily recommend it to anyone with more than a passing interest in buses.

This work adds to the already considerable number of works on infantry tactics in WWII by Osprey.

The book follows the 'how and with what' formula that makes all the previous works so valuable to the reader. It outlines basic tactics and equipment and the national variations that occured during the second world war. The colour plates and pictures represent clearly what is described in the text.

As with the other works this gives the reader an insight as to how history was accomplished. It will shed new light on any history being read and make that history as clear as it can be made to someone in an armchair. The book often refers readers to source material if a more in depth understanding is wanted.

It is a worthwhile work by itself and when taken with it's preceeding books a short cut to understanding how military history was accomplished.

This cleverly designed book has four pop-up games, each with an intricate game centerpiece that unfolds as you open the two-page spread. In one, you roll coins or buttons down a chute toward holes that each have a point vale. In two others, you launch coins or buttons using pull-tabs and send them into point-valued receptacles. In another, you use a spinning wheel/lift-the-flap combination to determine your progress along a game path.

These games are cleverly designed and fun for kids. Nicely done!
