Two of my children have worked through this logic book and loved every minute of it. I had to pace them so they wouldn't get the whole book done the first week!

My 6th graders love doing these puzzles and many times have to help me solve them. We didn't have anything like this when I was growing up!

I teach middle school aged gifted students. We use mind benders as a break from our usual projects in class. The students really like the challenge and they learn some great skills in deductive reasoning through using the clues and logic matrices. The "C" series is the most difficult. If you are planning to use these with younger children and/or those new to solving logic puzzles, I suggest you start with the "A" or "B" series by the same author. Answers and explanations for solutions are included in the back of the book.

Something I did not realize when I began to use these books is the naming scheme. Series within the same letter are of the same difficulty level but the problems within each book increase in challenge as the puzzles progress. The C1 book is not any easier than the C2 or C3 books, it's just a different set of problems to solve at the "C" level.

This is a great book for helping students to learn critical thinking skills. Excellent learning tool.

This is my 1 yr old son's favorite book! He loves to listen to the story and then "drive the bus away". He especially enjoys the alphabet and counting to 10. Amazon rates the reading level for ages 4-10 yrs, however, younger children will enjoy the shapes, colors and interactive story.

My two-year-old train-loving son adores this book. The illustrations cleverly make use of the book's train shape and the real wheels on each page. The rhyming verses are fun to read (except that one page doesn't scan well and it took a few tries to get the rhythm right)and they are now so stuck in my memory that I can recite the entire book without looking at it. My son spins the wheels every time the verse talks about trains rolling and wheels turning, and helps with the sound effects as well. After we read the book, he pushes it around on its little wheels and gets several more minutes of fun.
My five-year-old daughter, not a train lover, also enjoys the book because of the rhyming verses, the cute animals, and the fact that the train is going to Hoboken, where we used to live.

Pamela Warner has written a nifty book with extremely appealing projects with historic authenticity. The designs are extraordinary and delightful. If I were building a doll house, I would switch to Tudor style. But I didn't get this book for furnishing a doll house. I love the Tudor era and just the photos in this book keep me leafing through it all the time. If you like good designs, a well-written and illustrated book, get this one.
