Toys and Games Books

I recently bought this game and my kids (ages 8 & 15) really enjoy it. It plays pretty much like UNO except the cards have biblical characters on them and the "wild" cards are Bible trivia questions. You can play this game differently depending on the age/knowledge of the people playing. The trivia questions tell where in the Bible the answer can be found so I let my 8 year old read the passage before I ask her the question. My 15 year old has to pull the answers out from memory!

The only negative thing about this item is the quality of the cards. They're not nearly as sturdy as traditional playing cards. That won't stop us from playing, though!

This is a great book for anyone looking to purchase doll house furniture from the 1950s-1980s. The chapters are by Doll Furniture Maker.

Many photographs are in color, and include approximate dates they were made/sold. The book includes an index with price guides (but remember the prices are from 1997).

Also has a nice chapter on the tin kitchen playsets.

The only flaw in the book is that it does not deal in the plastic furniture (that came with the tin lithographed doll houses) -- I had to use Tomart's Guide to learn about those.

And absolutely lovely projects! A must for everyone doing serious needlework in miniature.

This is a beautiful book and a very precious one as well. I have the leather bound version with gold leaf. It is a very special piece in my collection of art books. The photos are crisp and bright and the information on each artist gives just a glimpse into the techniques used to create the featured pieces and a bit about the artist as well. Nice light reading accompanied by a very diverse collection of works.

This book has stunning pictures of this whole unique doll clothes collection. Beautiful book to enjoy looking through. Has interest especially for fashion history from the 1920-1930s France.

A beautiful book and a very well documented study with lots of photos to compare the different types of dolls made by this important maker. The thorough research that's gone into this project is what makes this book much much more than just another "coffee table book". In my opinion, this book is an absolute must for every serious collector of French antique dolls.

176 PAGES FULL OF RICHLY ILLUSTRATED DOLLS FROM DIFFERENT CULTURES,ERAS,DEPICTING THE STYLES THEY REPRESENT IN TERMS OF MATERIALS USED, CLOTHING ETC. ALSO VERY USEFUL IS THE FACT THAT EACH DOLL HAS THE SUGGESTED VALUE ATTACHED TO IT. TRULY INSPIRING AND INFORMATIVE.

The Synopsis was decent, but left out a few things. This package comes with 8 dice, 1 Monster from 20, 1 Rare from 25, 2 Uncommons from 25, and 4 Commons from 25. There are 5 races from which the dice are selected, Coral Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, Lava Elves, and Amazons. This really helps when putting together a good army. This comes with NO DRAGONS. Great product, I've bought over 40 of these.

This is a cute model. It is smaller than I expected, but it's nice. My son, the self-proclaimed Dragon expert, likes it.

I have had this wonderful book for over 3 years and it is full of ideas, patterns and embellishments for porcelain dolls of all kinds. It is a treasure chest in bookform for dollmakers. It is also a beautiful coffee table book that interests my guests.
