Excellent book for presenting not just objects with color but the feelings colors give us.

A great book that will add a lot to any campaign. Lots of good artwork and a good format as well.

I found this literature guide to be extremely helpful when teaching Brave New World to my Seniors. There are so many complex issues that Ms. Bowers addresses perfectly. I am grateful that there is acutally someone out there that is willing to tackle the issues of the novel so that I may teach it the way I want. Not only does Ms. Bowers understand the complexities, she also integrated these complexities with the content standards, allowing me to teach this great literature without guilt. Highly recommended for those who take their teaching seriously.

If you have an interest in toy trains, in particular European `O' gauge trains, you will enjoy this book. If you are a collector or operator of Hornby, Basset-Lowke, or Marklin `O' gauge trains you will want this book. If you own or are interested in the new ACE three-rail, "ready to run" `O' gauge trains you will love this book. `Brilliantly Old Fashioned - The Story of ACE `O' Gauge Trains" is all at the same time:

- a catalog of the ACE production over the past ten years
- a view into how model trains are produced in today's global economy

ACE Trains has rejuvenated the European 3-rail market with their new line of tinplate coaches, tank wagons, and locomotives and beautiful diecast locomotives. This book, chuck full of pictures and engineering drawings, provides a full review of the ACE products as well as a highly readable narrative about how the products are made and the personalities involved in the business. I highly recommend the book.

Excellent companion resource for Opie's Britains Toy Soldiers 1893-1932 and Opie's Great Book of Britains among others. Professionally done, chock full of photos for comparison as well as captions to identify each piece or set. Fills in the years from 1973 to 2007. Not long on descriptive info beyond the identifications, but still valuable to someone looking to place a set in the proper context.

My 20 month old son LOVES this story about Guy Smiley and Big Bird. Big Bird just cannot seem to figure out that this is the Number one Game show and that the answers might be...tick tick ONE. He especially loves it when we animate Guy's voice. I'm ordering another as ours is getting tattered and God save us if we lost his favorite!

My son received this book and Bugs & More Book and 3-D Models (see my review) for his sixth birthday. He had both books open within minutes and spent the rest of the day building 3-D models.

This is a great learning toy but you've got to be ready to sit down and play with your child. Some of the models are a little tricky to build (there are instructions, relax) but this is a toy best shared.

This book is full of facts about dinosaurs and includes eight models altogether: Tyrannosaurus rex, Eoraptor, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Diplodocus, Plateosaurus, Velociraptor, and Apatosaurus.

I tried the Building Blocks Plan Book my third year in teaching and have since used it from grades K-4. I love the format (extra length) and the horizontal layout of your day as opposed to a vertical layout of the day. There is a lot of space to keep class info, seating charts, long term planning info, etc. I bought this type of plan book for a fellow teacher years ago and she LOVED it! I also refer to the many pages of suggested activities for Four Block instruction. A great product!

If you are looking for a product that will exercise your child's brain, LOOK NO FURTHER! This is it! This workbook is just what it claims to be. Providing "highly effective verbal and nonverbal reasoning activities to improve child's vocabulary, reading, writing, math, logic, and figural-spatial skills, as well as their visual and auditory processing". When your child is finished with this book, you child will be able to "analyze relationships between objects, between words, and between objects and words as they", "distinguish similarities and differences", and "identify and complete sequences, classifications, and analogies".
And best of all: Each activity has directions that are EASY TO UNDERSTAND, therefore, EASY TO TEACH.
Although the workbook pages are not perforated for easy tear out, all pages are reproducible.
In my opinion, each lesson should take about 10-15 minutes which is perfect for your little fidgety ones. As far as ages are concerned, I feel this workbook would be best suited for children between the ages of 4-6, give and take.
