I think this was a wonderful book. It's simple to understand that pacifiers are not forever, and there comes a time when one grows bigger and it's time to stop using them. I think this books gets the message across really well, giving a lot of positive compliments to a child when they are ready to try and reach that point that they are now "bigger" and "it's time". I would recommend this book to a parent that will soon work with their child to get rid of their pacifier a head of time, so their child knows at some point, they will stop using it. I would also recommend this book for a child that is now ready to give it up, or one that just has and is having difficulty.

This book has everything you need to paint french dolls of all kind. It's very detailed and it shows you all the french dolls that you can rep-roduce and each maker in detailad description and photos. I give it 5 stars and am very hap-py with this book.

I have been painting dolls over 15 years,This book was one of the first I bought and still use.It has step by step painting of the french dolls with excellant detaiil and photos of eyelashes and brows.A must have for the dollmaker,Also many upclose color photos.

I read this book to my 14 month old son every day and he loves it! When he sees the book he gets so excited and starts saying "moo" and "baa". While we are reading he loves to lift the flaps and touch the animals. It is a wonderful book for any age. We will be buying more books like this one!

This book I'd have to say is worth at least six stars! Everyone in our family liked it. It all begins with a girl looking for her teddy bear. She searches everywhere and when she finds Teddy, she says, "It's Teddy finally." This book was a big hit. Get this book today and write a review now!

The most wonderful book for a new little reader. My 13th month old daughter can not get enough of it. On each page she lifts the flap with a squeal of delight. Once she gets to the end she turns the book and starts over again, of coarse with my narration every single time! She recognizes the other objects on each page and points to the same objects in her room. This book gives her many opportunities to learn new words.

This book is beautifully illustrated, and more importantly my 13 month old really likes it! He enjoys playing with the mirror at the end of the book, also. And so far the flaps seem to be more durable than some of the other lift the flap, (or shall is say, "rip the flap"), books out there. I have been able to let him play with it on his own and everything is still intact at this point! At any rate, it is a sweet little book with darling images and gorgeous drawings. A perfect gift book.

My 15 month old twins received this book from the Easter Bunny. They have several other lift-a-flap books, and several other books with cute pictures of animals. But this is the one they love. In most such books, they seem to simply be interested in the actual mechanics of lifting the flaps and opening the doors, etc., and they don't pay a lot of attention to what they find underneath. Not with these beautiful pictures. My daughter actually gasps everytime she sees the ducklings, the ladybug, the robins, the chipmunk, etc. The illustrations and colors are so lovely, I even enjoy looking at it over and over (I mean, to be honest, how many times can you lift flaps with pictures of elmo and big bird under them, and remain enthusiastic about it! )

I think this is so helpful for kids about to learn to read. Extremely user-friendly. Provides kids with hands-on practice in recognizing and comparing sounds to get them ready to read.

I think this is a wonderful book for parents and early childhood teachers looking for a fun way to help pre-readers learn how to read. The book is easy-to-use. The Table of Contents is very clear. Each skill section follows the same format--Recognizing, Assessment, Reproducible Picture Cards. Parents are shown how to assess their child's ability to recognize rhymes and initial and ending sounds and count syllables and phonemes. The black-and-white reproducible drawings are of easily recognizable pictures. As the children color the pictures, parents can encourage their children to say aloud the names of the pictures and listen to the sounds. Parents are given instructions on how to teach their children the relationship between sounds and letters, the crucial first step towards learning how to read. The book also includes picture-sorting games and activities, and a word list. I highly recommend this book.

other books about games children can play, are all the same.
this one is really something else, and it is very challenging and appealing to kids.
very funny also, just to read.
if you have kids, this book should be on your bookshelf to kill the dull moments!
your kids will never be bored again... well at least for quite some time!
i hope they will make a series of books out of this.

now THIS is a funny activitybook for kids! it looks unusual for a gaming book, and unusual it is! These games are so wacky, I laughed my socks of! My sons are playing 'Furniture Fuddle' all day, and they have great fun with it. Very innovative games. Even a game with a slice of cheese and a straw! You wonder how they came up with all this stuff. This gamebook beats all others. To be honest, I had a lot of fun with it myself, just reading it. The drawings look a bit strange, but well, let's say that fits with the book! don't hesitate to buy this one.

I am using this in the summer between my sons 6th and 7th grade year. It is excellent. The 15 projects are alot of fun and most projects involve things you would alread have. Anything I would have to buy would not be expensive (popsicle sticks, magnets, paint, etc)

Besides the fun of doing the projects the types of poetry (which are explained) are fun and age appropreate. The projects are easy to complete and foster a sense of accomplishent. Besides a disciption of each type of peotry there are examples of that type of poem and an example of a completed project.

The directions are clear although with the list of items needed for the crafts, the poem examples, direction steps etc... it might get overwhelming and it might be better for some children to do this project with a parent. It was certainly more fun for my son to do these things with me than for him to just look through the book and pick one out.

It is set up for grades 3-6 although I think it could be broader than that. Some projects and poetry forms are quite easy and could be mastered by younger children. Poetry can also be as complex. There are several I can see appealing to teens (the haikus, the inkblot projects, the magnet poems) I can see this being a good *whole family* project book.

This book is filled with some really cute ideas for a poetry unit. Not only does it offer good ideas, it explains the type of poem to use for each project (haiku, tanga, etc.)

These things are fantastic! They make 60 different themes. I wish I had everyone of them!

I am a person who sometimes forgets the basics of grammar. This flipper is an excellent reference for everyone. I recommend this to writers, educators and students alike.
