We have had this game for a couple years and love it. My kids (7 yrs, 10 yrs, and 12 yrs) absolutely love to play it as much as I do. We make a pot of tea and have some great family game time. You play it just as you would play Go Fish. They are learning about great art and artists while having fun. What's better than that? A definite 5. One suggestion, though: the only thing that this game gives you over the Go Fish deck only is the book which tells about the art, which we rarely if ever look at. So you could certainly save money by just buying the Go Fish version which is just the deck but the exact same game.

Go Fish for Art is a fun way for your kids to learn artists and their works. You get a beautiful deck of cards and a mini booklet that includes brief biographies of the painters. Artist studied in this deck include Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cezanne, Seurat, Rousseau, and Toulouse-Lautrec. The game is easy to learn because everyone knows how to play "go fish." A memory game suggestion is also included. The cards are printed on high quality cardstock that is coated in plastic so the deck should hold up well for many years of use.

Beautiful card game, BUT the best is the enclosed art book that tell about the style, color, texture, description, etc. at a level children can understand. Great book and cards for teaching adults and children about Impressionistic art. I will be using this set in my classroom.

This is perhaps Mr. Wells' best Star Wars book yet. It's cleverly modeled after a the type of field guide used by bird watchers. It's very small (five inches tall, four inches wide, and a little over one inch thick), and contains a great SAMPLE of full-color images on high-quality semi-gloss paper. For example, there is at least one sample images -- and usually even more -- of each card type from the original Star Wars action figure line (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Power of the Force, Droids, and Ewoks). There are also sample images of most of the new carded figures from the 1990s all the way up to 2004. And that's not all... There are sample images for dozens of other items, too! Vintage examples include loose figures, 12" figures, Topps trading cards, comic books, vehicles, playsets, lunchboxes, glasses, etc.. Newer items include Lego, Hallmark ornaments, and newer trading cards, comic books, etc..

That said, this book is NOT, nor was it designed to be, even close to 100% comprehensive with regard to images (it just gives you a sample image or two of each type of item so you will be able to identify something when you come across it). But, it DOES include fairly comprehensive lists of most items in most genres (both vintage and new), and a pretty reasonable price guide for each item it lists (I'm not a big fan of price guides, but the prices in this book are at least as good as any other I've seen).

It is not the best or most comprehensive Star Wars collectable book out there (if that's what you want, I recommend John Kellerman's Star Wars Vintage Action Figures: A Guide for Collectors). But, that book costs a lot more and you can't and wouldn't want to carry it around with you. This Star Wars Field Guide contains tons of photos and valuable information in a small, high-quality package.

This book is not as complete as "Tomart's Price Guide to Worldwide Star Wars Collectibles", but it is far more useful as a pure pricing guide than Beckett's "Official Price Guide to Star Wars Memorabilia". It's small (about 4" x 5") but contains over 500 pages, including 250 color photos.

The items are arranged clearly and logically into 20 categories, with brief but useful introductory paragraphs alerting you to important background about each category. A very handy pocket reference tool to carry with you when attending a trading convention, flea market, or anywhere else you're looking to buy or sell Star Wars memorabilia.

She loves this lift the flap book that teaches the terms for baby animals and animal sounds. I like it because the flaps are all shaped differently and are at odd angles. The illustration is cute too, and the last page has all the animals lined up so you can count them, and review names and sounds.

My son is now 1 year but this has been a FAVORITE book since he was 3 months and we have alot of books. The pages are thick cardboard, the flaps are easy for him to turn, the pictures are bright and adorable!

This book makes wonderful use of flaps. The momma animal says, "Where is my baby?" with a sad look on her face on the left side of the page. A partial flap on the right side covers the baby animal, but not the rest of the picture, making the flap easy to grab and turn. The words under the flap says, "Here is my _____." [it fills in the blank with the appropriate name of the baby animal] It has been one of my son's favorite books since he was 12 months old! The pages are made of sturdy material helping it hold up to many "self" readings by my son! The lively colored art keeps both child and parents' attention. A must buy! I am giving it to every child on our Holiday list this year.

If you only purchase one writing book, this is a winner. I have used it successfully with ninth grade remedial reading classes. The selections are short and interesting. I do give them more time than is suggested. I find that setting the timer for seven minutes works best for my classes. Students find it so much easier to express their thoughts on paper after reading or listening to selections in this book. This isn't a typical "story starters" book. The literature can be used as an introduction to genre studies, characterization, imagery, point-of-view, and literary analysis as well as for writing activities.

...to get reluctant writers to write. The pieces in this book are thought-provoking and beautiful, and students will want to echo the power behind this writing. Bravo.

Are you looking for a way to jazz up your science lesson. This book has poems and songs for just about every elementary concept you will cover. Don't worry if you can't song, the kids will love the songs anyway.

This is an excellent supplement to any primary grade's science program. The poems and songs (which are based on familiar tunes), are entertaining and cover a variety of science topics. Children also learn and remember more information when it is presented in an enjoyable manner.

These action figures are great. I purchased both the Ash & Misty set and the Team Rocket set and my grandson loves them. You can find many of the Pokemon figures in the local stores, but I have never seen these - great for imaginative play!

this toy is awsome i have it!it's comes with team rocket.there the coolest people on the show to me!teamrocket can be put on display or played with.Also,babies can't choke on them because they're at least over an inch high!they're cool beyond reason to me!you should buy them!

Art Asylum has simply out done themselfs on this one. All the Away Team figures are the best toys on the planet! Sculpts, durablility attention to detail is astounding.

Buy it while you can.

Art Asylum is phenomenal! If you have never owned an Art Asylum action figure, you owe it to yourself to have one you can call your own. More than just an action figure, but a true piece of artwork. All joints move like they do on a real human being. The wrists turn, the elbows bend, the shoulders pivot. The hips pivot, knees bend and ankles turn. The head can turn left or right AND bend down or up - all in life-like realism.

In the package, Archer's helmet is a separate item, but it attaches easily and the rubber hoses connect to sockets in the back of his life support pack.

The pack is removeable by undoing rubber-like latches under his arms. The belt straps on his thighs are even adjustable. This looks like one of those one-of-a-kind items created for the cast or producers - not something affordable for fans. Exquisite detail.

I ordered this book for my daughter who is a gifted math student in the 5th grade. She loves the problems and finds the activity more fun than most kinds of play.

I have used several math books in the Walch series and I like all of them. Walch does a great job of publishing books that teachers can pick up and use immediately. Most require only photocopying because Walch allows the lessons to be reproduced. 730 Daily Math Warm-ups is especially useful at the beginning of the class. While taking attendance, I assign a different math problem each day as a "sponge activity" (teacher talk for a quick activity that sets the tone and prepares students for the class). There are two problems for each day (days are identified by month and date) so creating an overhead transparancy or photocopying is all that is required. I photocopy the problems then glue them to an index card and hand them out when the bell rings. This acts a motivator to get students to class on time. No problem-no points and no chance of winning special rewards. Some problems are more challenging than others, but students should be able to solve most of them within 10 minutes. I always set a time limit for completion. Also, the fact that the problems can be solved by most students gives the students a sense of accomplishment and reward and this gets them ready to learn. Students like these activities because they are "puzzles". They may solve them independently or with a partner. If you haven't used the Walch books, you're missing great teacher resource material.

As a previous reviewer stated, I wish I had read this book before beginning my big dollhouse project. It is full of good practical advice, written clearly and with many wonderful illustrations. I will employ her suggestions in future projects.

This was a great book to give you a gameplan for completing your dollhouse. It tells you how to put together your dollhouse from buying to decorating. I wish I had read this before I started, but I'm glad I picked it up before I finished. Very detailed!

This book is very helpful to suppliment any spelling unit. There is very little preparation needed for a lot of fun and great help with spelling. Additionally, the sheets go home and the students work on their own time, not yours. Activities include things like cutting out old magazine and newspaper letters to make their spelling words. I misplaced my copy of this book and feel lost without it now.

This book presents a wide range of generic high quality spelling activities that elementary teachers can use with any spelling unit. There is no preparation required, the students enjoy the activities, and the spelling skills are effectively reinforced. I wish I had this book when I started teaching. It would have saved me many hours of preparation and my students would have enjoyed the lessons more and learned more.
