EXCELLANT !!!Review Date: 2008-09-19
Dan writes about poker better than he plays it, and he is one the best poker players in the world. Having purchased and read all Harrington's poker books as well as "many" other poker books by so-called authorities, Harrington, by comparrison, appears to be unassuming with respect to ego; he simply tells it like it is and his reasoning and stratagems regading poker are certainly work the price of the books.
Bravo, Mr. Harrington, and thank you for all your efforts in authoring worthwhile books on poker.

A very personal book in which Frankel creates vivid images with clean, crisp phrases and sentences. There is not a word out of place. This story is well-told. It could not have been easy to write and share.
I will be passing this book around to friends.

If you're looking for a great book for you or a friend, this is it.
This book is so lovable I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't love it, quote it, and beg everyone they know to read it so they could compare notes.
"Hats and Eyeglasses" is my new FAVORITE phrase and favorite book to recommend.

Great cards, but what happened to the Mneumonics?Review Date: 2008-09-24
To compensate, I have Tuttle's "Remembering the Japanese Characters" (or something like that--I may have misremembered the title), which I strongly recommend. For each character they provide a breif historical analysis and mneumonic. I use Tuttle's book to learn the symbols and the cards to practice. The only headache is that the book and the cards are not in the same order--White Rabbit uses the JPT ordering while Tuttle uses the ordering taught in Japanese elementary school--so I have to order the cards myself.
Still a good product and I'm happy with it.
If you are looking for the kanjis for JLPT4-3 you MUST buy itReview Date: 2008-08-23
The only thing I didn't like so much is that sometimes you can find compounds that are really *weird* and maybe also Japanese people don't know them :D
Excellent Study ResourceReview Date: 2008-05-14
This set has all of the Kanji required for the 4th and 3rd levels of the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test.) In addition to the basic character and it's readings, each card lists several different vocabulary combinations. These include words needed for the lower levels of the JLPT, as well as more complex formulations that will be seen on the 1st or 2nd level of the test. They also list words and phrases that may not appear on the JLPT, but that are useful to know.
While nothing can take the place of a Japanese class or at least a textbook, these Kanji cards are an excellent way to improve you reading and writing skills and expand your vocabulary.

Be your own Buffy the Bad Credit Slayer: Bold & Fearless! Review Date: 2008-11-16
Not only is this book chock-a-block with unique and truly invaluable information, but author Dana Neal's witty style makes what might otherwise be a tough technical slog actually *fun* to read. I'm not kidding! It takes a special kind of writer--and a certain playful, unself-serious turn of mind--to get a reader of a book like this actually fired-up and excited about tackling their credit problems, not to mention frequently making you laugh out loud.
Let's face it, repairing muffed credit is not a job for the faint of heart. But if you're feeling a little daunted by the prospect, don't despair: before you make a single call or draft a single letter, Neal makes sure you know where to start, what to expect, and how to prepare for contingencies. This really helps you get your cajones in gear. And hey, some measure of trepidation is only to be expected, for when it comes to our money, our credit history and our good names, anyone can be vulnerable to shame or bullying, to name just two of the nasty tactics so often employed by creditors and collection agencies. But if you read the book, I promise you'll be well-armed to take them on. Neal's imminently DO-ABLE strategies combined with his You-Can-Do-It/Be-Bold encouragements banished any feelings of timidity I'd been feeling. And it's WORKING for me. Really, really working.
After reading just about every other book on credit repair out there, I can say without hestiation that Neal knows what he's talking about--and he knows it ten times better than anyone else. He gives you all the info you need, straight-up, without ever shaming you or making you feel like some kind of colossal, hopeless screw-up. And who needs that?

A Great Read!Review Date: 2008-08-13
This book is really well structured and easy to read, a relief considering the complex and legal nature of the issues. Mr. Neal starts with the basics and eases into the more difficult subjects in an understandable way that really brings them to life. If you have had any type of credit issues, as I have, this book will really open your eyes. You will also find that the author offers extremely clear and practical instructions on resolving your problems. And if you have ever had to deal with a collector, this book will leave you feeling absolutely empowered. I recommend it highly.

Though it has lots of pictures of dinosaurs, the pictures are not individually labelled. (I am not sure if the dinosaurs in the book are even modelled on real dinosaurs.) Therefore, the child is not going to learn any facts about dinosaurs, other than they varied greatly.
