This is a wonderful book for those who want to learn to quilt. It teaches how to accurately hand-piece and quilt each sampler block. The instructions are easy to understand and takes you step by step through the process of making any size project you wish. Excellent book for beginners and experienced alike.

This is a lovely book - the sumptuous photos and delicious colors just made me want to jump right in! It offers a compendium of different techniques to try out in quick and easy projects. And I love that the author offers a clever variation on each project - that is something that really primes the pump and gets the creative juices flowing! And all of these projects make lovely gifts from the heart for loved ones for holidays or special occasion giving, I know some of my loved ones will be getting some!

Fun with Fat quarters is a marvelous book! It utilizes the 1/4 yard cuts of fabrics prized by quilting fanatics! It has multiple and varied projects of all levels involving the usage of quarter yard sized cuts of fabrics! The fat quarter fun bag inm it makes a one in a million baby gift! a must have book!

This book is superb. Mary and Connie combine elements of the main quilt to create other great wall quilts. Plenty of material to come up with your own ideas also! Patterns for a tea cozy and set of placemats are included.
The Sun Block would be sweet made into an "over the door" quilt. The dog block would make a nice throw pillow for the little one in your life. Each block could stand alone as a little quilt. Great for that small area that needs just a little something extra.
These quilts will satisfy the experienced quilter, yet are easy enough for a beginning quilter to enjoy working on them!

This is an excellent book for anyone interested in quilts, quilt patterns and what various patterns represent. This book, however, is more than just another quilt book; it is an expression of the individual. The author recounts her own history and relates it to her art as a comfort to others. She is able to communicate with all of us. This book will make an excellent gift and I will keep it in my home always.
