I have loved the color blue as long as I remember. I want to decorate with blue, but I don't want it to be overpowering or boring.

The photographs in this book show many ways to use blue and combinations of blue and other colors that are beautiful and soothing. The text explains why many people prefer this color.

I highly recommend this book.

The book was more informative of Eva's life and persectives on art than another I purchased at greater by twice the price! The photos were excellent and the pieces chosen for representation were all my favorites! The biography can't be passed over, for it is what has developed her into the admirable woman life and hardship has made her. I bought it to give to a close friend who is a potter, but now it's mine to keep! Janet

This book is for you, if you are either trying to break into showbiz and have thought about the great opportunity extra work seems to provide (be prepared to loose some illusions!) or if you are just like me wanting to find out more about what really happens on a TV show or movie set behind the cameras.
While being helpful in telling you what to expect and also not to expect once you land a job as an extra - James dishes out a lot of snappy comments and provides us with a humorous take on his experiences.
Additional fun is provided by trying to figure out the shows & actors he tells us about, while being gentleman enough to never call any names...
At 77 pages a quick read that will provide you with much more than could be expected and it will leave you asking for more stories from this "piece of human furniture"!

I've had this book for over ten years, and have made several projects from it. It probably is not ideal for those with only basic sewing skills, as the projects describe proportions rather than measurements (so that they can be adapted to any home), but I have had good results. As a book to inspire, it is wonderful. Paine has created beautiful interiors and has many creative ideas for transforming spaces with fabric.

I have been wanting to try a piece of painted furniture for a while. Good and easy to understand instructions and pictures. I am half way through and it looks great.Very inspirational.

This book presents a quick and easy way to assemble great looking furniture. I've never had any trouble with any of the projects I've tried and I hadn't done any wood working before I got this book. I strongly recomend this book for beginning and experienced wood workers looking to make some nice contemporary furniture without spending an arm and a leg on wood.

Millers is a clear, concise book and very well organized. My experience in the past with antique books is that there are very few photos of the items they are describing. This format is great if you already know the basics about antiques but it makes in almost impossible for a beginner to identify and price items just from a description. Millers provides tons of colour photos, with brief descriptions of what items were used for, what makes them valuable, what things devalue them and an estimate value. This format makes for quick and easy identification of hundreds of pieces. This is the perfect beginner/intermediate antique resource guide.

this book is a must have for anyone serious about feng shui. It isn't just another one of the basics book out there to pick from but is a comprehensive guide of all the different symbols and their meanings. Great library resource addition!

This is an Italian hardcover catalog which illustrates hundreds of pieces of wrought and cast iron decorations and architectural components. Pieces are shown separately, and in combination, forming beautiful, old-world railings, stairways, balconies, gates, etc. 220 pages, all well illustrated, text in Italian and English. If you are an architect, a restorer, or a craftsperson, this book will give you tons of great ideas.

This is an invaluable reference for making hand-crafted antique reproductions. The book has scaled drawings, step-by-step photos, and is very well written. I highly recommend it.
