Another excellent Wolfe carving book. I enjoy his easy style and detailed photos. Excellent Christmas gift (notice I did not say holiday gift!)

This book includes a pattern for a santa racoon with detailed steps as well as patterns for 6 other creatures. These patterns are cute, fun to carve, and of moderate difficulty level. The photography is extremely accurate in the instrucitonal seciton; the angels given make the designs easy to follow.

This a very useful reference.

If you are a collector of action figures or just want to know how much th G.I. Joe you played with when you were a kid is worth. This book is for you. For both, the serious collector or amateur, is an essential tool.

I purchased this book about 8 years ago, and am just now getting around to actually doing the "primary" Santa depicted in it.
This is a great book for beginner to intermediate carvers. It's chock full of photos, and has the finished product depicted from several different angles......all at a great price, too! Buy this book!

This book, along with the other two volumes by Harding, and the Pugh book (also put out by Schiffer) are the standard references on the subject of Staffordshire figurines. Although the values given to each piece tend to be way too high (often by about 100 - 200%), the research is well-done, and information on potteries, etc. is reliable and extensive.

Excellent source of information abouthead vases. The pictures are accurateand clear and for the most part, in color. But the best thing about it ascompared to other books about the subject is that it contains very interesting information about the earlyimporters and manufacturers of headvases-Enesco, Napco, Relpo,and Rubens, to name a few [...] from me.
