Coins Books

This formidable work manages to be comprehensive despite the scope and ambiguities of the period covered. The listings of coins themselves are in step with very recent numismatic discoveries. Accompanying photographs to many of the coinages are clear and fairly representative. Now, the length with which German issues are treated may surprise some, but this may be due to availability of records. Also, the prices quoted for most coins in general seem very approximate at best (particulary for issues from within many Spanish dominions), but this is only to be expected of a publication that must remain usable over several inflationary years. As a reference in identifying coins from the world of the 17th century, this Standard Catalog will stand one in good stead indeed!

I think this catalog is not updated. I would like a best one. I'm sure they are working on it...

This folder has an elegant look and it'ss easy to display, although it does not have any information about the states. It gives the collector an extra challenge to find quarters from both the Denver and Philadelphia mint to fill the whole book. Hard to press the quarters in. Protective plastic cover keeps quarters clean. More durable than any others I have seen. I would recomend it.

An elegant design, the album is an ideal gift choice. But, the manufacturing procedures could have improved.

Für den Spezialisten auf diesem Gebiet mag dieses Buch von grossem Wert sein, für Anfänger ist es jedoch nicht geeignet

This is a nice book for collecting the statehood coins. It has spaces for both Denver mint and Philly mint coins. What it lacks is any graphical depiction of of the US to use as an aid for the kids for whom you're presumably collecting the coins. But, the space for the complete coin set (both mints) is more important than a US map. Overall, a great organizer for collecting the coins...

This book has been a great resource for me as a collector. I wish i had discovered it sooner.

Indepth analysis of various lines. It will improve your chances greatly with Blk and offer you more opportunities with white to attack. Notation is a bit hard to handle. Also, some games were not in my database. Easy to follow (C/B)

This album is truly beautiful to look at and pages are easy to insert. I only wish it came in 2 in and 1 in sizes (as of now it only appears in 1 in thick sizes) so you will have to purchase more if you have a large collection as it would only accommodate four or five pages comfortably. At any rate, it's a great purchase for collectors who want their coin storage to be as aesthetically pleasing as the coins they hold.
