About the Book :
The book is a collection of thirty-one chapters dealing with coins and currency from the period of their appearance to the modern times. A new series of local early silver coins have been published here for the first time. The papers bring to light the first Kshudraka and Vrishni copper coins, new varieties of Kada and Arjunayana coins, the smallest coins of the Malavas and Ala-ud-Din Khilji, a unique coin of Shah Alam II and a rare bilingual commemorative medal of the time of Guru Gobind Singh, some interesting temple tokens, commemorative medals, etc. Interesting pieces like Alexander`s tatradrachm, coins of Rudrila and the paper coins of the Bikaner state also find place in these pages. Neglected coins of the Rajanyas have been brought to the notice of the scholars and some wrongly attributed coins like those of the Audmbara-Mitras, Vidisagupta and `Thaka-pa` have been reattributed. Punch-marked coins from Sunh and legends on Agacha coins have been studied afresh. The significance of Invaradatta`s dated coin restruck and reused Kushana and Yaudheya coins and the bearing of the Yaudheya coin moulds have been brought out adequately. A comprehensive study of the coins of Somaladevi and seals and sealings from Punjab has been presented. The book thus brings to light not only fresh material but also presents new interpretations of known coins and legends.

Well done book for serious numismatists

This book is not a story of the making of gold coins, but rather it is a more specific catalog of the collection housed in
Washington D.C. at the Smithsonian. This is, quite simply, the only substitute I am aware of for going to see the gold collection
personally. It contains many high quality black and white photos, as well as one page of somewhat less detailed full color
images. This is definitely a book for the serious numismatist, but if you are so inclined it is not to be missed.

The Tale of Pig along with the three others in the series by Helen Cooper; The Tale of Duck, The Tale of Frog, and The tale
of Bear are such a joy to read to little children. We received them as a gift when my boys were 3 and 4 and now we read
them to a friend who is two. They beg to hear them over and over. Each book shows how Timothy loves his toys and how he
deals with the heartache his mischivious cat causes. Pig is met with the whoes of no longer being able to hold coins but
Tim still loves him. The other great thing is the toys are in each book which is really fun! You are really missing out
if you don't get a copy of each of these books!

This is one of the best books I've ever read! Well worth the money. It has a little bit of everything. Nail-biting adventures,
action, and fantasy. It will leave you begging for Verse Two. I know it sounds cliché saying that I literally couldn't put
the book down but that is most definitely how I felt with this book. Also this book is great for just about anyone.

A political fiction made for the movies

This is a captivating thriller which will keep you guessing until the last page. It is a tale of political intrigue which
spans over almost fifty years of contemporary events centered in DC and other centers of American power play. Characters are
smoothly introduced and developed and before you know it, you feel that you have known them for ever. They are just vivid
and come to life in front of your eyes. There is a unifying theme which resonates with today's realities and happenings, blackmail,
terrorism, CIA, oil companies, political opportunists, etc. The final revelation is mind boggling; you could not see it in
your wildest imagination. I think the word cliffhanger was coined only to describe this story! It is a story made for the
movies. Hollywood, take notice. Look for it. It will come to a movie theater near you sooner that you think!
